Applesauce Overnight Oatmeal

If you’ve tried (and enjoyed) my Applesauce Oatmeal, you will likely appreciate today’s recipe. It’s truly one of my easiest recipes in the history of EVER.

Also, it tastes wonderful. I kid you not, this oatmeal tastes like straight-up apple pie. It’s one of the few recipes that I eat cold (I have a bias for hot porridge), but only because I am so desperate to shovel it in my mouth as fast as I can.

Earlier this month, I was in my college town of Brookings, South Dakota (Go Jacks!), and I inadvertently and unknowingly “met” a fellow oatmeal fan. It turned out to be Haley, writer of the Cheap Recipe Blog. Wanting to share our story (and some recipes, of course), we decided to swap blogs for a post.

  1. Yet another overnight oats recipe that reaches at least my top three. 🙂 (Your key lime pie recipe still wins!) I made this last night since I had an early morning for a ski trip. I heated it up for a minute and a half in the microwave before I left and the perfect, warming start to my day!

Recipe looks super simple and fun. While I am all for using high-quality, fresh ingredients whenever possible, I’m actually trying this out right now because I have some leftover, store-bought applesauce that I can’t bear to throw away (not a big fan of eating applesauce straight either). So thanks for the suggestion of oomph-adding spices, I will be trying that!
