This Week in Oatmeal 01/30/2016

Every Saturday, I gather oatmeal recipes from around the web from the previous 1-3 weeks, as well as outstanding Instagram photos. These posts may grow or evolve as time passes. Please feel free to give your feedback in the comments section!

Sweet vanilla cappuccino #bowlofzoats for breakfast today 😍🍫🍌🍯 topped with banana, hot cacao sauce & @mayversfood crunchy peanut butter + original super spread ! Recipe: INGREDIENTS • 1/2 cup oats • 1/2-1 medium grated zucchini • 1 cup liquid • 1 mashed banana • 1 tsp coffee granules • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder • 1 tsp cinnamon METHOD • add zucchini, oats, cinnamon, coffee and liquid to pot on medium and mix together • once it begins to bubble add banana and continue to stir occasionally • after a few minutes or so reduce heat, add protein powder and more liquid if necessary • transfer to bowl and top ! Hot cacao sauce: • 1-2 tbsp raw cacao powder • 1-3 tbsp hot water Mix together throughly and adjust water to reach desired consistency 👌 Welcome to the weekend !

    Yayyyyyy! Chocolate has to be my favorite theme of all! I absolutely love all of these recipes. The baked chocolate chip oatmeal looks just like a milkshake sundae muffin! 😀 Great recommendations once again!

    Amazing how chocolate is both a delicious dessert and healthy/acceptable breakfast option! Another fun aspect of chocolate is that it pairs well with anything. Especially some of my favorite foods that are featured here: bananas, peanut butter, coffee, more chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, and zuchini. Since next week’s theme is fruit, I don’t see why chocolate can’t be a part the instaworthy creations again. Plus February is less than a week away which means more chocolate consumption for Valentine’s Day (insert eye roll). But hey, anytime of year is a good time for chocolate. And I’m taking the good stuff. Not the last minute gift box from the drugstore.

    Two new Instagram accounts to follow, yay! And now I’m seriously craving some chocolate oatmeal. Really looking forward to seeing next week’s round up, fruit is a great theme!
