The Brownie Collection

Sometimes, I post a recipe and am amazed at the amount of hits it acquires in just its first couple of days. One recipe that consistently accomplishes this is my brownie recipe. I’ve done many variations, and nearly all of them became an instant sensation, racking up more Facebook likes than other others.

It makes sense; people love brownies, but these brownies are ten times healthier than your typical fudgy dessert. It’s basically a win-win.

Although I’m certain there are more to come, here is my brownie collection for your dining pleasures, ranked in order of my favorite. 🙂

7. Cranberry Brownie Baked Oatmeal

Since one of them had to take the “least favorite” spot, I chose this one. I love experimenting with cranberries in recipes, but I must admit they’re not my favorite. Regardless, the tartness of the cranberries (which I like when I’m in the mood for it) is a unique twist to the typical brownie.

6. Brownie Baked Oatmeal Parfait

If you like variations of textures and flavors, this parfait is for you! You can make it your own by switching up the fruit or even the flavor of yogurt.

5. Brownie Batter Oatmeal

Some of us will always favor the batter over the real deal. And then there are some of us who just hate turning on our ovens. 🙂

4. Frosted Brownie Baked Oatmeal

I love chocolate avocado pudding/mousse, so when I thought of this idea, I couldn’t wait to try it. It tastes so decadent! You could take this “frosting” and put it on top of any of these brownie recipes, to be honest.

3. Salted Brownie Baked Oatmeal

Not only was this my first brownie recipe, but it was one of my first recipes on the Oatmeal Artist. Everything’s better salted!!

2. Mocha Brownie Batter Oatmeal with Almond Butter

I had Brownie Batter Oatmeal so many times that I needed to switch it up. This amped-up batter is such a winner that I would eat it four times a week (if I had almond butter).

1. Peppermint Brownie Baked Oatmeal

My newest baked oatmeal is actually my favorite. I’m such a sucker for chocolate + peppermint. I eat it year-round, but it’s so stellar as a holiday treat!

Do you agree with my rankings?

  1. I love the cranberry one! I had never tasted fresh cranberries before this autumn, and this was my favourite oatmeal recipe using them. For me, the key to baked brownie recipes is blending the mixture with an immersion blender before baking. It really makes the texture so much more like a brownie!

YES! 🙂 I would have such a hard time ranking the Mocha Almond Butter one and the Peppermint one! But I totally agree with these rankings!

So many delicious brownie-breakfasts to try this Christmas! Maybe I will have to make an oatmeal-schedule if I want to make all of these… Thanks for sharing!

I’m actually not a huge brownie fan (cookies are where it’s at!) but these recipes are all so tasty. I’m a sucker for cocoa powder, especially dark. My favorite is the Mocha Brownie Batter and Almond Butter-so many amazing flavors all at once!!
